Montage Health and Community Hospital are committed to your health and safety during the pandemic. COVID-19 information and resources

Published on September 03, 2020

To our valued members,

As you may have heard, on Friday, August 28, Governor Newsom announced new criteria for restrictions on activities for counties across the state utilizing COVID-19 metrics. Under the new program – Blueprint for a Safer Economy – Monterey County is in the most restrictive category of “widespread” due to high rates of new positive cases per 100,000 people and a high positivity rate. Each tier has a list of restrictions and easing of restrictions as improvements are made. The current data shows that the county has a long way to go before moving to the next category of red which would ease restrictions on some services.

Under the most restrictive “widespread” designation, we are not allowed to open any of our facilities at this time. Your membership account(s) will not be billed during our closed period. When we reopen, all active accounts will resume monthly billing with any appropriate time credit issued for payments made in July. Members that wish to extend their membership freeze up to 3 months after reopening should contact one of our representatives through our “contact us” webpage.

We will continue to watch the numbers and if we see that opening is a possibility, we will reach out and let you know what and how that looks for you. Our last reopening went very well with important safety measures in place that protected the many members who returned to us. We continue to miss you, our members, and our staff, and are looking at creative ways to reopen services when it is deemed safe to do so.

We encourage our members to stay proactive with their health by getting your health checked regularly, not putting off critical or maintenance health services, getting exercise in your home and outdoors, and following the latest guidance from public health officials on how to minimize your risk of getting COVID-19.

In the meantime, please take advantage of a few events and classes that Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula has available for free for the public.
